Masterpieces: Art and East Anglia
This 288-page book, produced for the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, accompanied a ground-breaking exhibition that explored the broadest possible spectrum of art and creativity in East Anglia, from the legacies of the Romans and Anglo-Saxons to the brilliance of great painters such as Constable and Gainsborough, and from the exceptional work of shawl-makers and silk-weavers, engravers and stained-glass artists to the innovation of Francis Bacon, Henry Moore and Maggie Hambling. The book was produced in softback and hardback editions; an ‘oyster-shell’ presentation box was also created for the hardback. Masterpieces: Art and East Anglia won the overall Book of the Year title at the East Anglian Book Awards 2013.
