What they say
“Charlie stepped in to help us with a fairly unusual brief, relatively short notice and a budget which required some creative thinking and patience! He did a fantastic job of bringing our ‘newspaper’ to life in time for a hugely important deadline, managing the design and print elements with ease and professionalism.”
Kelly-Ann Knight, Corporate Communications Director
"Charlie quickly understood our needs, translating our ambitions into choices of paper, format and feel of the publication. He remained flexible and always enthusiastic throughout the process; it was pleasure to work with him and the Singular Publishing team."

A Fine Line: cultural practice
"As a first time author I was looking for a partnership with a publisher that would be different to the orthodox ways of working. Disappointed by the commissions I was being offered by the big publishing houses, I started looking at self-publishing online, but was put off by the poor quality of their books and by the rigid templates they insist on using. Frustrated and disappointed by the lack of flexibility in the market, I was beginning to lose hope. It was at this time that I was introduced to Charlie and Sabine at Singular Publishing, who offered me an entirely different way of getting my book published.
"Designed around the needs of the author, using bespoke design and high-quality production, Singular worked with me, step-by-step, to find the best way to get my book published and into the market. Helpful, supportive, and encouraging, Charlie and Sabine gave me the expertise I needed, explaining the whole process to me, contacting the best printers (in Hong Kong as it happened), editing and advising me on the content of the book, commissioning the perfect designer – Emily Benton – and making excellent suggestions on how to improve the book’s look and quality.
"After a lengthy discussion, while my book was still in manuscript, Singular gave me a detailed quote for the whole production of the book, breaking down the different items into discrete areas and giving me deadlines for payment and development. This was exactly what I needed: it put my mind at ease, helped me understand the whole process, and gave me the incentive to finish the manuscript.
"Throughout the next few months Charlie and Sabine kept in regular contact, giving me feedback and answering all my many questions. Once the manuscript was finished (late, of course!) I handed it over to them and things moved fast. Within two months it was edited, designed, and off to the printers. Just as they said it would be. What I really appreciated during this time was the input Singular gave me on the editing and design process, keeping me informed, checking every detail to make sure I was happy, and being open to all my suggestions. It felt like a genuine partnership, a project we were working on together, which is exactly what I was looking for.
"Now my book is finished, printed, and in the shops, I could not be more pleased. It is something I’m proud of and better even than I hoped for."
