Zena Garrad’s enchanting tale of a young brother and sister who befriend a lonely dinosaur in a wood near their home was written in 1992. Her two grandchildren were about to move to Norfolk (not far from the dinosaur park at Weston Longville), and Garrad’s goal was to make the move part of an exciting adventure. She succeeded by all accounts, and the story became a family treasure, much loved by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and family friends. Then, in 2014, the grandchildren decided to turn the well-thumbed manuscript into a limited-edition book. Singular edited the text and managed the project overall. The final product – a 32-page softback book, featuring beautiful illustrations by Lucy Morris – gave the story a happy new lease of life for future generations.
